Code of Conduct
RoyalHacks is dedicated to providing a safe, welcoming, and harassment-free experience for everyone. This Code of Conduct applies to all participants, including hackers, mentors, judges, sponsors, volunteers, and organizers.
Our Community
RoyalHacks brings together students from different universities, disciplines, and backgrounds. We believe the best ideas emerge when people with different skills and perspectives build together. That only works when everyone feels safe and respected.
We do not tolerate harassment or discrimination of any kind.
Expected Behavior
- Be respectful and considerate toward fellow participants, organizers, mentors, judges, and venue staff
- Collaborate openly and give credit where it's due
- Be welcoming to newcomers and first-time hackers
- Take care of the venue and shared spaces
Harassment
Harassment includes, but is not limited to, offensive comments or behavior related to gender, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, race, ethnicity, religion, or technical experience.
If what you are doing makes someone uncomfortable, that is reason enough to stop. Participants asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately.
Alcohol and Substances
Alcohol and drugs are not permitted at RoyalHacks. Danish law applies. Participants found to be intoxicated or under the influence of drugs will be removed from the event.
Reporting
If you experience or witness a violation of this Code of Conduct, please report it immediately. All reports are taken seriously. You have the right to remain anonymous.
